Based on the design of the successful P9600 Earth Fault and Overcurrent Relays, the new P50EFR and P50EFR/2 are ideal for smaller panels and where space is at a premium. In comparison to their P9600 counterparts, they offer an overall volumetric size reduction of around 67%.
Total weight is also around 25% lighter when compared with similarly sized panel mount relays therefore contributing to a better panel design and potential cost savings.

Installation of the P50 relays is quick thanks to the sliding clips which secure the unit to the panel. No fixing screws are necessary therefore saving time.

The two product variants offer the user a choice of output relay configurations. Either SPDT (P50EFR) or 2 x SPNO (P50EFR/2) outputs can be specified.

The user settings are clearly marked and can be adjusted without the need for any tools. A transparent door on the front of the unit provides protection against tampering of these settings and can be locked in place with a suitable seal. The Test and Reset button are still accessible with the door in its closed position.

Additionally, the P50 relays offer the benefit of True RMS monitoring ensuring better accuracy of the measured fault current which is important where installations do not always have a clean power supply.
